1/2009 GEODE CHARDONNAY SANTA BARBARA 2006
We love a surprise, and that is what this is. We cannot for the life of us recall who sent it our way, but to him or her we say, “Thanks!”
This is a very tasty Chardonnay in the new world style — big flavored, oozing oak and tropical fruit (think grapefruit, pineapple) notes. We enjoyed it, both on its own and with a mild fish meal. At about $14 a bottle, GEODE is well priced. (Rating ***3/4)
