Scotch Whisky Flavor Map: Back to the Drawing Board!

Clever, but we think this current iteration is fatally flawed.  The X axis is Light-Rich.  The uselessness of that distinction can be seen by noting that Laphroaig 10 Year Old has been placed on the Light end of the axis.  Anyone who has tasted this particular Laphroaig knows better—it is a whale of a peaty malt.  And the Y Axis has the useful Smoky top end, but then the not-so-helpful Delicate bottom tip.  Back to the drawing board!  See what we’re talking about in this January 2, 2012 Big Think piece: http://bigthink.com/ideas/41781?mid=56.
