1/2009 MAGIC HAT ROXY ROLLES HOPPY AMBER ALE
we enjoyed this Magic hat offering MUCH more than the dreadful CIRCUS BOY HEFEWEIZEN. This beer is, like nearly everything else produced by MAGIC HAT, really bitter. Nonetheless, the palate picks up malty sweetness, honey, and citrus notes. Drinking it without food is a challenge — the palate gets exhausted from the hops. By our lights, we see this as a great beer to have with a burger and fries. (Rating ***1/2)
We’d suggest that you read more about this beer at Magic Hat’s website, but quite frankly we find the site to be horribly designed, slow to load, and damn near useless as a source of information.
