12/2007 MOUNT GAY RUM and MOUNT GAY EXTRA OLD RUM
Weeee-hoooo, rum from Barbados! So how do these two rums differ to the consumer? Well, the standard MOUNT GAY RUM is gold colored, 40 proof, and tastes of butter, caramel, and orange peel. (Rating ****) The EXTRA OLD version is copper colored, 86 proof, and is much less sweet than it’s young sibling. It is more dry and offers more falavors, which include burnt orange peel, baking spices, menthol, and more. Intriguing. (Rating ****1/2)
