Is it a liquor or a liqueur? Apparently, it is both!
Perhaps a decade or more a go, we began tosee America whsikeys being offered with flavors added. (Yes, honey flavored whiskeys go back further still.) The idea was to expand the market for whiskey by making a product that could appeal to folks whose palates were not quite ready for full on Bourbon. Call them gateway whiskeys if you will.
Berentzen is know for its liqueurs, and here they did something clever: they made a product that leverages their existing product strength. And it is pretty good! I thought this 60 proof hooch would be too sweet. It wasn’t. (Rating: Good)
