Marshal Blended Scotch

What a  dud.

Is this scotch? Really, is it? It comes in a Johnnie Walker like bottle and its a faint copper color. Sure, it does have a barley cereal note to it. But that’s about it.

Seems to us they went way to heavy on the neutral spirit during the blending because this just lacks ooomph and has a real boozey fume to it.  It is tolerable if dumped on ice and allowed to dampen and chill. (Rating **3/4)  Whatever you do, do not believe the tasting notes at http://www.drinkswap.com/marshal-scotch-whiskey.htm.

It comes from William Maxwell and Co. Ltd. of Scotland and is imported into the U.S. by World Wide Liquors, Inc. of Miami, Florida (though Shaw-Ross might actually be carrying it now).
