11/2007 KENDALL-JACKSON VINTNER’S RESERVE ZINFANDEL 2005
In our experience, zinfandels come in two models– the light bodied, moderately fruity type, and the viscous, intense, fruit and tobacco bombs. This KJ zinfandel falls into the former category. It runs between $12 and $14 a bottle retail, and shows raspeberries, cassis, and cedar notes. On the downside, it’s a touch hot going down. (Rating ***1/2)
