4/2006 MOMOKAWA DIAMOND SAKE
We came across this bottle at a Dupont Circle sushi joint. In the restaurant, it was priced at $27 for a 750 ml bottle. A very fair price, and one that makes us guestimate that you can get this sake at a store for $15 or less. It is a little under 15% alcohol but not gassy in the least. It was light, slightly fruity, and went down all-too-easily. Yum. (Rating ****1/2)
