Dr. Konstantin Frank Rkatsiteli 2011

Dr. Konstantin Frank RkatsiteliLucky us!

A bottle of this was schlepped back to Washington, DC by a friend vacationing in Keuka Lake.

It is rare to find a Rkatsiteli wine in the United States. The grape comes from Georgia—yes, the one on the other side of the earth. Seems its very peculiarity has led some to fetishizing it. (Their words—not ours!)

This $15 white wine was enjoyable–a little sweet, a touch spicy and vegetal. It is not Riesling, nor is it Gewurztraminer. Huh! (Rating: Good)
