O.k., when we tried this vodka we thought, “Hmmm, this is one of those vodkas aiming at the higher end of the market.”
Our reason for thinking this was straightforward—it tastes very good.
Made in Moldova and imported to the U.S.A. by Serge Import LLC of Stroudsberg, Pennsylvania, Exclusiv Vodka (80 proof) is very soft in the mouth—you can sip it chilled or even at room temperature and it does not burn going down the throat. It shows a slightly sweet flavor profile, and exhibits grain, toffee, and a faintly fruity flavor. A vodka lover, that is, a person who enjoys sipping their vodka chilled and neat or with minimal additions (lemon peel), would adore this vodka.
And here is the kicker—it retails for $12-$20 a bottle. That is terrific bang for the buck. (Rating ****1/2)
