Well, hats off to the Warwick Valley Wine Co. of Warwick, New York! This company has produced a nice pear cider.
Too many of the ciders we have tasted over the year have been sugar bombs— saccharine stuff that tends to nauseate us after a few sips.
Doc’s Draft Hard Pear Cider is slightly sour, effervescent (but not overly so), mildly pear flavored drink. Thanks to our pal Sam for bringing us a 22 ounce bottle, which he had found at the local Whole Foods for about $5. (Rating ****1/4)
