10/2006 STERLING VINEYARDS CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVE 1999
Wow- we let this one sit for an awful long time before opening it; seven years. In part, this was happenstance; in part, this was because the bottle was autographed by Rob Hunter of the vineyard. Anyhoo, this almost purple wine was wonderful- robust, showing cassis and a little vanilla. Well worth the wait. (Rating****1/4)
